19.02.2023The primitive instincts inside us starts crawling out when we play survival games. There are only a few that me myself enjoy tho. Keeping hopes up that DayZ WILL get better and better faster. Would love a survival game set in 18th century with muskets and flintlock weapons.

The Narrator
19.02.2023My list is long and likely to dwarf all other comments. So, TL;DR
Discovery: Learn about the world through its ruins and remnants.
Adventure: exploring and getting things accomplished in the way I see which leads to great levels of satisfaction. Also, I can affect change on a meaningful level.
Lore: I love a good book, but when the world is a story? It gets even better. You can choose to care about the tiniest detail and sometimes must piece together a story yourself!
Gameplay elements:
Earning your keep by your own hands.
Min/Maxing for optimal gameplay/results.
Usually beautiful graphics/scenery/moments in time/interactions.

18.02.2023for me it's the tense situations like being followed by a trex and then just escaping or being shot at and kill the shooter. I also like survival games because it is a way to escape real life sometimes and forgetting about all the stuff going on

18.02.2023It's still built into our DNA. We're still cave men at heart, ovbously devs play on this but so they should! Like sugar! We're addicted to refined sugar because it tricks our brains to think we've scavenged fruit. We clearly enjoy it. Life is too easy for most of us with time to play these games everyday. I think any form of progression is built into us also but we don't use this day to day. So we have to play rust. @Shadowfrax
Blackguard
18.02.2023..because it takes us – gamers – out of our comfort zone, living another life in another time inside a virtual world where death is not terminal.

16.02.2023What does survival games for me is that I yearn for the ability to go where no one has gone before so I really enjoy the exploration in survival games the most

15.02.2023Love your videos bro, personally I just like the feeling of surviving and building from nothing to something like in ark, conan exiles etc, but good video mate keep up the good work

15.02.2023Its a mix for me – Video games I grew up with, the social side – meeting people for good or other. And the challenge knowing I can survive and out smart others. And its this, this video made by another who is into these games – we are overall a community – a very large one, I enjoy being apart of this watching how it grows.. Cheers.

15.02.2023your the best man! keep it up.
Me personally, I feel like survival games give me the best sandbox to create my story. I think it's one thing that isn't understood by folks that are not gamers. think of your favorite tv show, movie, or book and ask yourself what a game has that it does not. The answer is of course the ability to be a main character and a driving force in the story. No matter how awesome the next season of game of thrones, I won't have any impact on the storyline. And though Rust (my favorite survival game) can be quite repetitive in some ways, every new wipe is a new story. My friends and I are the protagonists and the I always have a chance of being the hero.

15.02.2023I've heard the same hypothesis made for zombie movies/tv series. In that they become popular in times of social and political unrest

14.02.2023I love the base building, the balance of resource gathering, surviving and upgrading all under the threat of death. there isn't a game yet that really give me what I am looking for, but Rust may have come the closest. I want like a AAA Rust.
